Cassy Tully Creates Painting Depicting Fallen Oak Golf Course, Host of 2023 VGA National Championship

The Veteran Golfers Association is hosting their National Championship on September 17-21, 2023, at Fallen Oak Golf Course, exclusive to Beau Rivage Resort and Casino. The VGA has commissioned Cassy Tully, sports and lifestyle artist, to create an 18 X 36” painting depicting the stately clubhouse, its expansive windows framing a spectacular view of the majestic tree that inspired the club’s name.

Cassy’s remarkable painting highlights the course’s soft mist, with fog rising elegantly from the water near the 18th hole. The radiant lights of the clubhouse draw the eye, and the setting is balanced by the textural splendor of the massive oak. Overlooking the scene is a lustrous sky, washed with soft pinks and delicate opal clouds.

“I am pleased to continue supporting the VGA and their dedication to enriching the lives of Veterans and their family members through golf,” Cassy said. “As I painted, I let my brush be inspired by the commitment our Veterans have made to serve our country, creating the colors of the sky especially as a source of hope and solace.”

Fallen Oak, a beautiful Tom Fazio-designed course, is operated by Beau Rivage Casino Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi. Fazio thoughtfully balanced the land’s original contours with natural elements to create a sense of artistry and adrenalin across the 18-hole, par-72 championship layout.

Cassy’s painting captures Fazio’s respect for nature in an ideal blend of light and harmony. This painting will also be reproduced as 12 X 24” Limited Edition Commemorative Prints, signed and numbered. Cassy will attend the Champions Dinner on September 20th, a wonderful opportunity for members and guests to meet her, have prints personalized, and learn more about her championship golf artwork.

“The impact of these events on Veterans and their loved ones is tremendous,” Cassy said. “Being part of the patriotism and ongoing support of the VGA in bringing together Veterans and the wider golf community is inspiring.”

Cassy Tully Artwork Supports 2022 Veteran Golfers Association Championship

Cassy Tully, whose sports and lifestyle paintings are collected internationally, is pleased to once again partner with the Veteran Golfers Association to create original artwork for the 2022 VGA Championship, taking place at Doral Golf Club in Miami, FL. on September 25 - 28.

The club is home to four uniquely designed courses, including the famed Blue Monster, whose 18th hole has been ranked as one of the most difficult on previous tours.

Her 24 X 36” original work of art features a sweeping sunset sky overlooking the iconic clubhouse, lit by evening lights. It is being reproduced as 18 X 24” Collectors Edition signed and numbered prints.

Each print is a cherished keepsake and is the ideal gift for Veterans and their supporters. During the tournament, Cassy will be available to personalize these beautiful prints and share time with the Veterans.

“I am deeply honored to once again create artwork for this championship,” Cassy said. “The VGA’s mission of honoring veterans by providing opportunities for meaningful connection through a sport I also love makes the creative process memorable.”

She recently created original artwork for Yellowstone Country Club; the Milwaukee Brewers' 50th Anniversary and the NFL Hall of Fame. Her championship golf art includes working with the PGA of America, PGA Reach, Western Golf Association/Evans Scholars Foundation, United States Golf Association, and the Arnold Palmer Foundation.

The VGA is dedicated to enriching the lives of Veterans and their family members through the camaraderie and sportsmanship of golf. Annually, the VGA hosts more than 450 local tournaments across the country, culminating in a VGA National Championship each fall.

Prints of this event will be available in Cassy’s online shop and exclusively at www.vgaclubhouse.com, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the VGA.
